for sale oakley crosslink ear sock oakley crosslink frames oakley crosslink frames on sale. Wilmington, North Carolina, where the Cape Fear River and Interstate. DO NOT purchase the Oakley Crosslink prescription glasses, Oakley does not warranty them and replacement parts cost way too much, obviously Oakley doesn’t have much faith in prescription glasses to not warranty them, last pair of Oakley’s ever !!!!! Just another Crosslink owner here that has had the rubber on both of my sets of temple fall apart on me. I wore my first set of temples (satin black ones) for about 4 months before the rubber on one of them began to crumble apart. It looked as if they had been somehow melted. I switched to the second set of temples (black ones) about 5 months ago and the rubber on these began splitting along the seam on both temples to the point of the rubber if almost falling completely off the metal temple frame. Just spoke to Oakley customer service and am told I have to go to where I purchased these glasses. Here’s a pic of the black temples ripping along the seam in the rubber… have also had my Oakley Crosslink Switch rubber supports on the arms disintegrate like Mike Ryan’s photo below. Oakley Crosslink Ear Sock Kits.
@Oakley – looking at the website you can only buy the entire Crosslink arm not just the rubber component ? Secondly is Oakley rectifying the rubber they source going forward, as it’s no point buying new arms only to have the rubber component disintegrate again ? same problem here, not only the rubber disintegrate, it is also causing some skin allergy around my ear area. Is there a template that is without rubber? if not, maybe Oakley should SERIOUSLY come out with one. Its not cheap to get the crosslink frame and its such a shame to chuck it aside and not using it. The rubber sleeve on my Oakley Crosslink switch has just fallen apart. only had them 5 months, Hope Oakley sort it out ’cause they are not cheap !!!!!To all the whiney people. Do your research. I own a pair and they warranty them. However they need to be sent through the eye dr that they bought them from. This is why you don’t order prescription glasses online. Now the issue I have is Oakley doesn’t have pink stems for them. Get it together Oakley. Lol. Oakley in SG also suck. They are only open on weekdays and will not grant any warranty from purchase from outside SG. Even if You have proof of purchase. This shit is disgusting… And I’m now having the same problems with mine… They are not as bad as you guys but are getting there soon enough… And disgusting yellow stuff is coming out of them… And lenscrafters makes me call Oakley for them to not do anything and tell me lenscrafters has to order them for me and they won’t… I don’t know what my options are at this point… But not impressed with Oakley’s terrible product that should be recalled in my opinion. I dropped mine off at the place I purchased them from and a week later, the have advised Oakley has the rubbers on back order and no word when they will have them. Guess I’ll go without socks until they come in. With the price, it’s bee nothing but a problem. I’m in the UK and have owned 4 sets of Oakley prescription glasses without ever having a problem. I’ve had Crosslinks for nearly a year and both my main and reserve arms have been ‘leaking’ oil from inside, this has irritated the skin on my ears and caused it to weep and bleed. I’ve now resorted to wrapping surgical tape around the rubber where it comes into contact with my ears. Such as shame, since my experience of Oakley in the past has been exemplary..Hello guys, another upset and disappointed customer looking for help, I recently purchase a brand new pair of Oakley Crosslink, they are about 2 weeks olds and ever since first week the nose pads started to disintegrate, Ive looked everywhere to get replacements but I cant seem to find out, is Oakley really backing up their product? As of today the nose pads are literally falling off and im concerned that I may ended up loosing my prescription glasses. ust visited the San Francisco Oakley store and the specialist there said they had faults and were keeping free replacement rubbers on hand for customers. So I’m a happy custom. Yes I have been frustrated by this problem too. I had the arms replaced after 6 months but 6 months later they are disintegrating again. This time the dealer (Bupa Miranda Australia ) are less than enthusiastic about helping as they are just out out of the 12 month warranty period. Shame cos I love these glasses and just want the arms fixed! The same thing happened to my crosslink temples as well. The fist pair of temple lasts for 6 month before the rubber broke, and currently the second pair of temples began to melt. It is definitely a design defect. I emailed Oakley for this issue but it is been a week and no reply at all~ I would really just like a simple, easy, solution. I paid a lot of money for the Oakley name and style for my everyday prescription glasses. What I got was essentially a pair of cheap plastic frames that are falling apart at 6 months. I do not want to go through Lenscrafters, in person, and all that hassle. I want a set of temples sent to me with a return label for me to send back the old temples. i had the same issues and heard that if the rubber temples are constantly exposed to sweat and water/moister, it will cause them to lose their elasticity over time (from an authorized dealer/oakley factory store). It made me kind of sad because i bought the crosslinks with the impression that they were perfect for my active lifestyle (serving/bartending/biking/tennis/etc…) with the grip from the grip from the rubber temples but i guess not! They did say that it was only prolonged exposure so just make sure to wipe them every now and then, especially if you’re sweating up a storm. Luckily, they actually gave me a set of replacement bands and installed them on the spot for me. I bought (3x) more sets in different colors just to be safe since they were hard to find! Still digging their unique and versatile style! Oakley Crosslink Ear Sock Kits.
